Samuel Bergman is a Harvard Law School graduate and seasoned practitioner with wide experience in all aspects of corporate, securities and business law. He served for 11 years as a corporate partner in a major New York City law firm. He subsequently served for 10 years as general counsel and a senior executive officer of a publicly held, NYSE-listed insurance and financial services company. With the acquisition of that corporation, he became counsel to a high-energy merchant banking concern and has since, departing that company, conducted his own varied private business law practice.
Mr. Bergman is experienced in a wide variety of sophisticated business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, structuring publicly and privately held companies, debt and equity financings (including private securities offerings), venture capital and joint ventures. His major competencies also comprise general corporate representation including internal governance, securities and regulatory compliance, licensing, employment matters and litigation management.
